Elizabeth (Liz) Smith is the daughter of the late William and Daisy Johnston of Teslin. Her Tlingit name is Shkhinduyâ and she is a Kùkhhittàn Shâwu of the Kùkhhittàn Clan.

Liz was a Tlingit Language Instructor at Teslin School for many years until retiring in 1997. She is a graduate of the Native Language Instructor Certificate Program offered by Yukon College.

Margaret Bob is the daughter of the late Charlie and Ida Bob of Teslin. Her Tlingit name is Shuwutìn and she is a Yanyèdí Shâ of the Yanyèdí Clan. Margaret has been a Tlingit Language Instructor at Teslin School since 1992. For many years she team-taught with Liz Smith and now teaches together with Bessie Cooley. She has completed the Native Language Instructor Certificate and Diploma Programs at Yukon College.
